There is nothing better than creating something that brings not only comfort, but support for your body in many ways! After the first sip of this turmeric based chai blend, you’ll taste peace this holiday season.  

The organic roots in this blend are:

-> Turmeric
-> Ginger
-> Darjeeling Tea
-> Cassa Cinnamon
-> Cardamom
-> Black Pepper
-> Allspice
-> Clove
-> Nutmeg

The “Golden” comes from the turmeric and ginger blend because it is LITERALLY the star of the show. The cytokines in them - (which is a fancy way of saying  inflammatory proteins) bring a healing herbal base! The darjeeling, along with the cassa cinnamon and cardamom accentuate the classic chai taste. Why is black pepper in there? Good question - turmeric needs black pepper to help absorb the turmeric in the body. Allspice, clove, and nutmeg are my favorite warming herbs that bring the blend perfectly together! 

This tea can be prepared in 3 main ways. 

First way of preparing is simple: load up the amount of herb you prefer (1 tsp) in an herb infuser, french press, or my favorite, a plain mason jar! Pour boiling water (generally 8oz) over and let it steep until cool enough to touch. Then strain it according to the way you prepared and enjoy! 

The second way to make this is a decoction. Place 1 tbs of roots into a pan and cover with 3 cups of water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, cover and reduce heat to simmer. Allow to simmer for 20 minutes, adding water if needed. Allow to cool before straining and enjoy with cream and honey! 

The third option is to bring milk to a soft simmer in a pan or even a crockpot on warm! Add the loose herbs or place them in a tea bag and allow to simmer until the desired taste is achieved! 

Each bag has 15-20 servings in it!
